It undermines our fight towards climate justice by incentivizing politicians to do the fossil fuel industry’s bidding, rather than listen to their constituents. This, combined with government subsidies for oil and gas companies, continue to allow the fossil fuel industry to have a stronghold on the health and safety of our communities.
